services are determined through the Individual Family Service Plan
(IFSP) (birth through age 2) or the Individual Education Plan (IEP)
(ages 3-21).
Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy focuses on optimizing a child�s physical skills in the area of movement and stability.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational
Therapy addresses skills in the area of fine motor skill development,
processing and organizing sensory information and in self-help skills.
Adaptive Physical Education
Adaptive
Physical Education provides opportunities for children to engage in
structured physical activities that stimulate the development of motor
skills through play, movement to music and exercise.
School Psychology Services
School
psychology services assist in addressing emotional, cognitive, or
developmental concerns relative to a child. This may include providing
individual assessments.
Speech-Language Therapy
Speech-Language
Therapy assists children in the development of spoken and written
language skills. This may include enhancing articulation or addressing
speaking, listening, reading or written language skills.
Visually Impaired Services
A
teacher of the visually impaired teaches students compensatory skills
which include reading and writing Braille, using assistive technology
devices, and other vision related skills prescribed by the IEP.
Hearing Impaired Services
A
teacher of the hearing impaired provides necessary assistance to
students who are hearing impaired or deaf. Interpreters assist children
in learning through the use of sign language.
Audiological Assessment
Children may receive audiological assessments by a certified audiologist in a sound-proof testing environment.
Transportation
School
buses or vans provide transportation to and from school or from one
school to another educational site to those children who qualify
through their IEP.
Other Services
Other services may be provided according to a child�s individual educational plan.
