KPS Standards
KPS has developed rigorous standards that meet or exceed Nebraska State Standards.
What is a "Standard"?
Standards are the major concepts
that students are expected to learn and apply in a specific discipline
or contest area (ie...math, science, language). There are designated
to be general, broad, and K - 12 in scope.
What is a "Benchmark"?
Benchmarks are indicators of
knowledge and performance which provide specific detail about what
teachers should teach and students should know and be able to do at
each grade or course level to achieve the standards. They provide
description, progression, and organization to the subject matter. They
are measurable by one or more types of assessments.
