Clayton Moyer Bio

Clayton Moyer serves as the director of choirs at Kearney High School.  He directs six choral ensembles including; the Kearney High School Chorale, Varsity Women’s Chorus, Concert Choir, Mixed Chorus and two show choirs: KHS Pops Choir and the Sapphire and Gold Singers. He also serves as the music director for the KHS musical theater program.  Choirs under his direction have sung in England, Ireland, Italy, France, Belgium, and Spain. Mr. Moyer received a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.  He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from UNK where he studied choral conducting with Dr. David Bauer.  He is a member of the American Choral Director’s Association, Nebraska Choral Director’s Association, National Association for Music Education, president of the Kearney Concert Association and chancel choir director for First Presbyterian Church-Kearney.
