Tim Ullman

I graduated from Kearney High School in 1999. I enlisted for Active Duty in the U.S. Army, and served for over 21 years in a wide variety of assignments to include three combat tours, an assignment as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Moore (Benning), Georgia, and a posting to the Non-Commissioned Officers' Academy at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. I have earned an Associate Degree from Central Texas College in 2016, and retired as a Sergeant First Class in 2020. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Leadership with Bellevue University.

My spouse (KHS '98), who also served for eight years in the Army, and I returned to Kearney in 2020. We have two children, our eldest graduated from KHS in 2024, and is now attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and our youngest is scheduled to graduate from KHS in 2026. I have been an active member of the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department since 2021. In our spare time we like to travel and visit distant friends.

As an instructor and advocate for the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), it is such a joy to be able to bring this program to KHS. I instructed for one year at Omaha - Buena Vista while commuting back to Kearney every weekend to be with my family. I look forward to building this program and making a difference in KHS students' lives.
